- Day 19 -

Times Square

One of the largest shopping malls in Kuala Lumpur. A rather impressive looking one - modern, clean and well-designed. However, as we explored the shopping mall, we found that many of the shops on the higher levels could not be rented out. And this situation was also observed in Malacca, and even Johor Bahru when I went a year ago. This is probably due to the harsh impact of the economic downturn, leading to less customers, and even less tenants. Indeed, when we were there the entire afternoon, the shopping mall wasn't exactly full of traffic. In fact, the huge size of the mall made the people seem very sparse.. An illusion of emptiness perhaps.

One of the specialities of the shopping mall is that it has an indoor theme park...

The roller coaster...

MINES Wonderland

Malaysia's own theme park. A tiny, and not too impressive one. But the company was fun!
